He just writes what the therapist says to do, quite nicely. Shydel is on FIRE! Catch him for 2-nights only, in a staged reading of Harrison Rivers' play, When Last We Flew - a part of Freedom Train Production's annual play reading festival in Brooklyn. Winter 2008 In a staged reading of The Rant at NJ REP, Shydel plays a new police officer - under fire - when an unarmed teen is killed on his watch. Fall 2007 Shydel gets in touch with his bad side by playing a gang member in the Jennifer Lopez produced drama, Feel The Noise, starring Omarion and Pras. July/August 2007 In July, Shydel was fortunate enough to be cast in 365 Plays: Week 36, written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Suzan-Lori Parks. In Novemeber of 2002, Parks wrote a play a day for the next 365 days calling them 365 Days/365 Plays. From November 2006 to November 2007 all the plays will be performed simultaneously across the country. After doing two great performances at the Synagogue for the Arts in conjunction with the Gansfeld Theatre Company under the direction of Linda Ames Key, Shydel, along with nine other talented actors, will perform a portion of 365 Plays: Week 36, at the acclaimed Public Theatre on August 5, 2007. May 2007 Shydel rides in the 30th Anniversary Commerce Bank Five Boro Bike Tour. A 42-mile bike ride on traffic free streets through the 5 boroughs of NYC. After close to 5 hours and 3 breaks, Shydel completed the tour, never once stopping to walk his bike.
